É estudante de biologia na USP, onde faz estágio na seção de Aves do Departamento de Zoologia da USP, com observação, identificação e anilhamento de aves em diversos ambientes do campus. Auxilia os estágios dos alunos de graduação nas aulas de campo para que sejam observadas e identificadas algumas espécies de aves, assim como alguns alunos de mestrado e doutorado em seus respectivos projetos, que abrangem taxonomia de tucanos e psitacídeos. Outros projetos paralelos incluem levantamento de avifauna em sítios e parques da cidade e a observação constante e sempre que possível de aves em diversos habitats.

Graeme is from Edinburgh in Scotland  but he spent time living and working overseas including 3 years in the United States . A compulsive birdwatcher has a passion for wildlife and conservation and has travelled to many of the world's remote and unspoilt places including Antarctica , Irian Jaya , Papua New Guinea , S.E Asia, Uganda , Peru and Brazil to enjoy the wonderful diversity of the natural world. Graeme was a Director of an international consulting company before he quit the corporate world to pursue his interests in the environment.

The couple is frequently in residence at the Cristalino Jungle Lodge. They were born and now live in Southern Texas - United States. Both have had a life-long interest in natural history - beginning in the USA and eventually focusing upon the animals and plants of the South America Tropics. The couple has traveled Amazonia for the past 20 years. Will has an interest in bird vocalization, butterfly, tree and orchid taxonomy. Gill has dedicated much of her energy to the documentation of Amazonian flora and fauna with digital images.

Johan van 't Bosch has been a passionate birdwatcher for over 20 years, starting from the small things his parents taught him about nature and his first steps as a naturalist in the first grade of highschool. Since then he has been an active birdwatcher in The Netherlands (his home country) and the rest of Europe . In recent years he got interested in South-American birds, especially the birds of Brasil. Over the years, he has spent 4 months birding in Brazil and hopefully more will come. Johan has a Master's degree in Environmental Science. He has worked as a communications and pr consultant mainly on environmental, agricultural and natural resource management topics. In the years to come he likes to make a switch towards a career in which he can more actively use his birding knowledge and naturalist skills.

Johan has always enjoyed speaking different languages. Nowadays Dutch, English, German, Portuguese and some French are on the menu.

Since they left their careers in Business Administration (B.Sc) and Education (B.Ed), Canadians Tom and Jean Ness have been avid observers of nature for the past 21 years as they cruised in the Pacific and Indian Oceans on their sailboat.  In addition to having a wonderful viewpoint for the observation of life in and on the ocean, they have birded extensively in many of the more remote island groups of the South Pacific, and in New Zealand , Australia ,  Nepal   Thailand and  Malaysia --including Borneo .  For many years they reported sightings of birds and sea mamals and turtles to Pacific Wildlife Watch and encouraged the crews of other yachts to become keen observers of the life around them.  While the observation of molluscs and life beneath the surface of the water - mammals, reptiles, fishes, and corals-- was their intitial interest, for the past 15 years birding has been their favourite activity as they travel on land and sea.

Ben first identified his passion for birds at age 4, when a flock of white pelicans flew over his head. This interest in birds and the natural world led him to recently attain a biology degree, with an emphasis in ecology and evolution. He has worked as a research assistant on various ecology and conservation projects in the United States , Bolivia and Brazil . He will come to Cristalino after spending the first part of 2007 working at Yanuyacu Research Station in the cloud forest of Ecuador . He is very excited to spend time at Cristalino with wonderful people in a beautiful environment.

Hemme started birding in the Netherlands when he was about 20 and he is still watching birds when he is at home. Visiting friends in Indonesia and his brother in Gabon in Africa in 1988 he started to get an interest in birding in tropical areas. He made birding trips to Brazil , in Carajás in Pará, in the South-east and North-East Brazil . Other countries he visited in the Neo-tropics are Argentina, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador (2x), Jamaica (2x), Mexico, Paraguay (3x), Peru and Venezuela (2x). For the rest he travelled a lot in Africa, Asia and Australia Both in Ecuador and in Venezuela he visited Amazonian rainforests.
In 2005 and 2006 he worked as a volunteer in Paraguay in 3 different habitats, Atlantic Forest , Cerrado and Chaco , investigating birdlife.In 2006 he stayed for a week in Cristalino Lodge. Being inspired by the beautiful nature of Cristalino, the very many bird-species here and his experience with them in many neo-tropical countries he likes it to become a volunteer.
He has a general interest in nature. Besides birds he likes to watch mammals and butterflies too.
